How I Work
I’m excited to talk to you about your project. During the proposal phase, I’ll ask you some questions, and provide you a detailed proposal for you to review (I deliver my proposals via Proposable). Once you accept the proposal, I’ll get started.
During development, I will create a “Staging” site on our server, allowing you to see your site and test it before I hand it off to you/install it on your server as a final deliverable.
If you choose to work with me, communication is key! You’ll have my cell number, my email addresses and my instant messenger name to contact me just about anytime (I am totally addicted to the internet) during our working relationship.
A note on testing – I test my work on the following browsers:
- IE – Current and previous version – tested via PC
Note: I do not test or verify work in IE 6 or IE7 as they do not support modern web coding standards and best practices. Also, Microsoft has stopped supporting these browsers. If you’d like IE 6/7 compatibility, I can provide this, of course, but it is at an additional charge. My proposals include a line item (optional) for IE6/7 compatibility and testing. - Firefox – Current and previous version. Tested on Mac and PC
- Chrome – Current and previous version. Tested on Mac and PC
- Safari – Current version only. Tested on Mac
All of my work includes the following:
- Full site management manual and optional web-based video training of your staff so you are empowered to manage your own site, ongoing.
- Planning for analytics (statistics), site load optimization and SEO – ensuring that standards are in place to help you be successful and that your site is user-friendly.
- Full testing and QA of all work performed.
- 30-day post-launch support window. After the launch of your site, I will fully support any bugs or coding issues for a full 30 day window.
I am also available to help you with updates, maintenance and housekeeping as needed at a discounted hourly rate or a retainer basis.
