How We Work

We’re excited to talk to you about your project. During the proposal phase, we’ll ask you some questions, and provide you a detailed proposal for you to review. Once you accept the proposal, we’ll get started.

During development, we will create a “Staging” site on our server, allowing you to see your site and test it before we hand it off to you/install it on your server as a final deliverable.

If you choose us to work with you, communication is key! You’ll have my cell number, my email addresses and my instant messenger name to contact me just about anytime (we are totally addicted to the internet) during our working relationship.

We also test to ensure the work performed is fully compatible with IE 8.0, IE 7.0, Firefox 3+, Safari 4 and the current version of Google Chrome. We test on Mac (Safari, Firefox) and PC (IE, Firefox and Chrome). As a note: We do not, by default, test or verify work on IE 6.0 as it does not support modern web coding and is no longer supported by Microsoft (as of July 2010). If you’d like IE 6.0 compatibility, we can provide this, of course, but this will require me to bill additional hours as needed to ensure things work with IE6. Our quote includes a line item (optional) for IE6 compatibility and testing.

All of our work includes the following:

  • Full site management manuals and optional web-based video training of your staff so you are empowered to manage your own site, ongoing.
  • Planning for analytics (statistics), site load optimization and SEO – ensuring that standards are in place to help you be successful and that your site is user-friendly.
  • Full testing and QA of all work performed.
  • 30-day post-launch support window.  After the launch of your site, we will fully support any bugs or coding issues for a full 30 day window.

We are also available to help you with updates, maintenance and housekeeping as needed at a discounted hourly rate or a retainer basis.
